A Note from Sol:

I’m currently pausing new client work to rest and replenish—because sustainable care starts with caring for the caregiver. I’ll reopen for support on September 15, 2025.

Reproductive Support

Hi, I’m Sol (he/they pronouns).

Since 2020, I’ve provided compassionate, judgment-free support for folks navigating reproductive journeys—whether abortion, miscarriage, contraceptive choices, or planning for the future.

When we work together (1:1 or with your partner[s], family, or community), my goal is simple:

  • To help you feel seen in your full humanity,

  • Empowered with knowledge and resources, and

  • Rooted in your right to bodily autonomy.

Doula Support:

What to Expect

“What Is a Doula? And How Can You Support Me?”

A doula is a companion in power—someone who offers emotional, practical, and advocacy support during life’s most vulnerable transitions. Unlike medical providers, doulas don’t prescribe or diagnose; we hold space, share knowledge, and walk beside you as you navigate reproductive journeys.

“What Types of Support Do You Offer?”

Whether you’re facing miscarriage, abortion, or reproductive planning, my care is rooted in the belief that your body is yours. Here’s what you can expect:

A Sanctuary for Decisions

  • Confidential, judgment-free conversations about all options.

  • Personalized care plans tailored to your unique needs, values, and circumstances.

  • Resources to navigate logistics (locate clinics, source abortion medication, finances, legal considerations) or self-managed care.

Holistic Advocacy

  • Emotional support through active listening and regular check-ins (by call, text, or in person depending on location).

  • Help communicating with partners, family, or healthcare providers—if and only if you want it.

  • Building your support network: Curating community resources, from mental health referrals to mutual aid funds.

Ongoing Companionship

  • Unlimited messaging support for urgent questions or moments of uncertainty.

  • Follow-up care to process your experience afterward.

  • Connections to trusted providers (herbalists, counselors, legal advocates) as needed.

Anonymous Client Testimonials:

“Honestly, saying [Sol] was a life-saver doesn’t even do it justice. I’m so grateful for the time we spent together during my pregnancy, abortion, and recovery.

They bring so much care and knowledge into their work.

I knew getting an abortion [in my situation] would be hard, but I wasn’t prepared for how hard it actually was.

[Sol] operates from a place of love, and I’m so thankful our paths crossed.”

Is This a Match? Finding Your Doula Fit

My approach is non-hierarchical, trauma-informed, and autonomy-affirming.

Together, we’ll:

  • Name your fears and hopes without sugar-coating systemic barriers.

  • Honor every emotion (anger, grief, relief—all of it) as sacred.

  • Resist isolation by reminding you: You deserve care, full stop.

“How Do I Know If We’re a Match?”

Not every doula is the right match—and that’s okay! Your comfort and trust are essential.

My practice is built on three pillars:

  • Trauma-Informed Care

    • Every interaction prioritizes your safety, trust, and empowerment.

    • No assumptions, no pressure. We move at your pace.

  • Feminist Ethic of Care

    • Your identities (queer, Black, Muslim, disabled, etc.) shape your experience—and my support honors all of you.

    • Compassion > coercion. Connection > control.

  • You’re the Expert

    • This is your journey. You set the terms, including whether we continue working together.

“What If I Change My Mind?”

  • No strings attached: You can pause or end our partnership at any time, for any reason.

  • No guilt, no ghosting: If it’s not a fit, we’ll talk it through and I’ll help you find alternatives if desired.

  • Your autonomy comes first—always.

Still unsure? Let’s chat (no obligation). I’m happy to answer questions or refer you to other doulas who might better suit your needs.

Anonymous Client Testimonials:

“There wasn’t a single moment where I doubted that [Sol] had my back—something I’d never experienced, especially not with doctors or social workers in my past. If you’re considering doula support: trust me, you deserve this.”

Radical Access, Collective Care

What Do You Charge? How Do I Afford Support?

I believe care should never be gatekept by wealth. Most of my clients receive support free of charge—because your needs matter more than your ability to pay.

How It Works

  • Pay What You Can: If you’re able to contribute financially, you choose the amount (from $5 to $500). Every dollar helps me keep offering free care to others.

  • Skill/Resource Exchange: Prefer to pay in another way? Share your talents! Graphic design, haircuts, childcare, herbal knowledge, or even a home-cooked meal are all welcome.

  • Just Take the Care: No explanations, no guilt. If money or trades aren’t an option right now, you still deserve full support!

Keeping You, Your Loved Ones, & Your Doula Safe

Your privacy and your safety are important to me.

As a privacy-conscious doula, I use CryptPad (end-to-end encrypted and open-source) for support requests, and I encourage clients to use privacy-focused tools like Signal for ongoing conversations.

But let’s be real: Privacy shouldn’t feel overwhelming.

Here are simple ways to protect yourself—pick what feels doable!

Quick Privacy Tips:

  • 🔒 Searching online? Try DuckDuckGo (no tracking) instead of Safari, Google, or your usual search engine!

  • 📱 Texting/calling? Apps like Signal or Google Voice keep conversations separate from your phone bill. However, Google Voice is synced to your Gmail account.

  • 🏥 Visiting a clinic? A surgical mask (+ sunglasses or a hat) help maintain anonymity and block out nosy protesters. Use of a surgical mask will also provide some protection from Covid-19 during your visit.

Suggested Privacy Resources:

Most importantly: Share any concerns with me—no question is too small. We’ll navigate this together, at your pace.
